The drum that redefined "metal" snare drum. Metal snare drums have a reputation of being bright, bordering on harsh sounding. When I introduced the very first Classic into recording studios in Vancouver - an 8 x 14 prototype known affectionately as Number 1 - the concept of a warm, rich and sensitive metal drum became a reality. The Classic Stainless Steel shells I make today are the same as Number 1 - no reason to change the perfect formula.
